Today’s serious walleye angler demands a lot from his boat. First and foremost, it must be capable of handling big, rough bodies of water safely and smoothly. Plenty of room for tackle and gear? That’s a given. And it needs to be adaptable to a wide range of fishing styles, everything from lure casting and bait drifting to backtrolling and vertical jigging.
Triton’s new 215 X was designed to exceed all of these demands. In fact, anglers are calling it the most advanced walleye boat for the “big” water, one that attains new levels of tournament fishability, riding comfort and safety.
The new 215 is the latest boat in Triton’s X Series, which also includes advanced fiberglass bass boats favored by top tournament pros. This big water-specific fiberglass model spans a full 21 feet 5 inches, and sports a super-wide 94-inch beam. It carries a horsepower rating of 250 and has a fuel capacity of 50 gallons, making it perfect for long-range tournament applications. It’s available in three versions: SC (single console), DC (dual console) and DCF (dual console with framed walk-through windshield).
This new Triton has the interior room, tackle management capability and big-water performance that today’s competitive walleye anglers are looking for. Standard features include shock-absorbing S.A.S. driver, passenger and fishing seats; massive 50-inch livewell (big enough to hold a trophy musky) with Stay-Full tournament overflow system and pumpout, huge center storage box with rod rack for 12, aerated baitwells fore and aft, two 228-quart front storage boxes, 67-quart rear storage compartment, built-in ice chest, Tri-Pro onboard battery charger, stainless pop-up cleats and Triton’s legendary wood-free composite construction. The boat comes with a custom drive-on tandem-axle trailer with disc brakes and can be customized to fit your personal fishing style with a full menu of options.
The new 215, like all X Series Tritons, comes with a complete package of innovative features. A deluxe “floating” console allows ease of entry and plenty of legroom, and features oversized competition gauges and trim lever. The trolling motor foot pedal is recessed to deck height, which greatly reduces leg and back fatigue for all-day fishing comfort. There are two seat pedestal locations on the front deck. And most important, the 215 X comes with Triton’s Res-Q retractable boarding ladder, a revolutionary safety and recreational device that deploys easily from outside or inside the boat, and allows a person in the water to board the boat quickly without outside assistance. This groundbreaking safety innovation was recently awarded a special life saving award from the National Safe Boating Council, and has been called the most important boating safety advancement since the engine kill switch.
For a boat of its magnitude, the new 215 X delivers truly awesome performance. The legendary Triton deep vee hull planes off instantly, accelerates quickly and exhibits superior top-end speed and a smooth, dry ride, even under the harshest conditions.
Although primarily designed as a competition walleye boat, the new 215 X is already seeing duty in a broader range of freshwater fishing applications. With its oversized livewells and tremendous interior room, it’s equally well-suited to musky hunting, Great Lakes salmon and trout trolling, and landlocked striper fishing.
The 215 X is built with pride in Triton’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near Nashville. It comes with a limited lifetime hull warranty and is available exclusively through authorized Triton dealers across North America. For additional information, contact Triton Boats at 1-888-8TRITON
