Triton-Sponsored Father & Son Team Become Stars

Posted: 9/19/2002

Ashland City, TN (9-16-02) – Triton saltwater anglers Terry Lacoss and his son T.D. not only won an Inshore Fishing Association (IFA) Redfish Tournament, but they did so for a national television audience. Terry and T.D. of Amelia Island, FL won the June 9th Redfish Tour event in Cocodrie, La. And it just so happens ESPN had decided to televise this Redfish Tour stop as an experiment, which just recently aired during the ESPN 2 Saturday morning outdoors block. ESPN Outdoors personality Tommy Sanders and saltwater fishing specialist Jose Wejebe hosted the hour-long show, which ultimately hi-lighted the growing popularity of competitive redfish angling.

Terry Lacoss is a very respected industry writer and professional guide based out of the Ameila Island Plantation in Amelia Island, Florida (904) 261-6161. His son T.D. plans to follow in his Father’s footsteps, but intends (as you might expect) to be a better fisherman than his father.

Congratulations Terry and T.D.!
