3/31/2013 My first trial run in my new 2013 Triton 17 Pro rigged with the Merc 115 Pro XS was impressive. It tracked well in the turns, and top speed is 50 plus. It handled great, but the steering was a little stiff and I should have added the optional hydraulic steering as well. The ride was dry, smooth and fun. The setup is well thought out and the boat has plenty of room for two. The bow and stern decks are big enough to move around on and stable enough to where both anglers can stand on the same side with no worries. The 17 Pro is a quality boat and my expectations were were more than satisfied. This is not my first new boat, but it is my first Triton. I am well pleased with this boat, and if I ever feel the need to buy another one, it will be a Triton.

8/28/2012 First off. I want to thank power source marine for all they did. To making suggestions for the things to add and to what to expect from MY boat. They were incredible.
The boat is everything I Expected from triton and more. It took a long time to get the boat of my dreams. It was worth the wait.if you dont buy a triton You are buying second best or less in my opinion.Dont waste your time and look at other boats. Buy the best and you will not be disappointed. Bought the 17 Explorer with 115 mercury 115 pro xs. Runs 54-56 . Handles great and highly recommend this set up. I fish a local club and turn heads everywhere I go

8/24/2012 I am a very satisfied owner of a Triton 17' explorer with a 90 hp mercury ELPTO and with one person in the boat I have reached speeds of 55mph per GPS monitoring devise. I purchased a mercury laser two prop with 22" pitch which increased speed from 43 mph to 55mph. I will eventually up grade to a 19' or 20' bass boat and it will absolutely be a Triton.

3/9/2012 I bought a 2010 Explorer 17 in Feb. 2011. Dealer took the 90hp off and installed a 2011 115 Pro XS at my request. Swapped out the 18 pitch factory prop for a 21 pitch laser 2. Big difference! Hole shot is still good and top speed is 56 on the GPS at 5700rpm with boat trimmed to max. Drop the nose and speed and RPM decrease for rougher water. Boat has more than enough room for my son and me. Fishes great and handles rough water great. Will definitly buy another Triton!

10/6/2011 If you do not fish tournaments and aren't worried about top end speed, this is the only boat you need if you fish by yourself or with one other angler. Driest and most comfortable ride you will find in this size range. I have the 90hp Optimax and it goes 45 mph in warm weather and about 42 in cooler temps before RPM alarm sounds. It is as wide as most larger bass boats and has all of the room you need on the deck, and storage space is more than enough if you keep rods on deck. Only issues I have is the hull is a little deep and fishing shallow stump fields are problematic and I've chipped hull in two places as a result. Also, store my vests in cavernous front center storage locker, but it tends to hold moisture and gets them a little moldy. I have fished this boat hard and it is more than holding its own on any sized waterbody I have had it on. Very pleased.

9/1/2011 I recently purchased a 1998 TR17 - it is without a doubt the best boat I've ever owned. Has a 115 Johnson and runs about 54 mph depending on load and conditions. Cuts thru rough water like butter I couldn't be happier and will definitely purchase another Triton in the future.

7/1/2011 Before there was an Explorer Series there was a TR175. I.ve had mine for 6 years and brought it everywhere from 150 acre ponds to big rivers to Lake Champlain. The little boat that "can", does everything well and with comfort. If I ever need another boat, it will be another Triton.

5/29/2011 I bought a non current 2008 TR-17 Explorer last year w/ 90 optimax. Boat runs 46mph fully loaded w/ two of us in it. Handles rough water much better then I thought it would. Our trip to Table Rock Lake last Novemeber was no problem with 25 mph winds. Great weekend tourney boat for my son and I. Always wanted a Ranger, but Triton is my favorite now! Hope to upgrade in a year or two.
Thanks Triton!!!

3/15/2011 from what I have seen it looks like there is plenty enough room to be able to hit the targets where I think the bass will be in
